Someone to Watch Over You

I can't tell you the peace it brings to me to know that every day Miss M is watched over by my school family of nine years.  The very year I leave the nest, my foster daughter flies in, and my family there cares for her, loves her, and looks out for her.

Today, during the midst of my new life at a new school, crammed in the middle of 30+ emails from parents, teachers, the district, and others that showed up in my inbox during the 1 1/2 hours I was out of my office, I found this email and photo from Miss M's art teacher...and my former colleague and friend...whose own daughter I had the privilege of teaching math and social studies to two years ago.

Hi,
I wanted to share with you her painting she completed on Monday in art.  We were finishing up watercolor undersea paintings.  Students drew sea creatures with a focus on showing space (overlapping and going off/coming in from the edge of the page) and also using contrasting/complementary colors when coloring in sea creatures with crayons such as her overlapping blue and orange sea creatures.  We then used a cool color watercolor wash by doing the wet-on-wet technique of painting (wetting paper first and letting paint swirl and mix).  This is her finished painting!  She was very excited!!

Praise Reports:
*One of the dear families I was trained and licensed with through my agency has volunteered to babysit Miss M on both of the Sundays that I have to work.  They just received their own first placements of children, plus they have two biological children at home.  Thank you, dear family!  We are blessed by your kindness!

Prayer Requests:
-Please pray that I will have a soften heart, understanding ear, and forgiving spirit when I am dealing with Miss M's behavior choices.  I am lately finding myself being less patient and not letting it go once I deal with it.  Not sure why this is - I'm still processing it and just realizing it - but I don't like it and need prayer from those I love.
